Applying for the summer 2010 Rwanda Expireience
You are a US student hoping to join the Axis of Hope team to work in Kigali, Rwanda for 16 days this coming summer. The team goal this summer: to build an asphalt or cobblestone road, roughly 1 kilometer in length and in the middle of Kigali, from Ste. Famille Church, down the hill and right next to the Home of Hope orphanage. In this way, we will improve the living conditions of the children living within the walls of the orphanage, who suffer pulmonary difficulties as a result of their breathing the dust coming from this road. How could we accomplish this goal, in terms of our getting Rwandan government approval, as well as adequate funding - and why would you be a key member of the planning and construction team? |
