Faculty

Although Axis of Hope focuses on the student experience, we understand that to have a lasting impact with the student population, we must also form relationships with the educators. Teachers, faculty and administrators provide a valuable avenue through which we can spread our ideals of conflict management and prevention as well as preventive diplomacy. We hope that our work with faculty allows us to promote and facilitate a global dialogue within the classroom.

Axis of Hope recommends faculty workshops for teachers aspiring to learn new and unique ways to introduce issues of global concern into their curriculum. We also recommend faculty workshops for those teachers interested in bringing an Axis of Hope workshop to their school. Faculty workshops introduce teachers to the methodology and approach of the organization which will allow them to be effective participants and facilitators during student workshops.

Faculty Learning Objectives

  • Provide teachers with the pedagogical tools to creatively and effectively teach such skills;
